Kalamaki:
This resort is
located six kilometres from Zakynthos Town on the east coast of the
island. Kalamaki is especially focused on family holidays, and boasts
a seven kilometre long sandy beach, the largest on the island – a
nesting ground for the Loggerhead sea turtle.
There are sun beds for hire along the beach and because of its size,
there is always plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the sun. The
hotels and apartments in the resort boast many swimming pools, and in
most cases they are free to all, not just clients who stay in their
accommodation. The resort also enjoys a wide range of shops, bars and
both Greek and international restaurants, and if you want a lively night
on the town it is only a five minute taxi ride along the main road into
Laganas.
