Argassi:
Just five minutes drive from the excellent
shopping and café life of Zakynthos Town on the south east coast of the
island is this large and buzzing resort. Argassi, the first resort
to be developed on the island, offers a wide range of hotels,
restaurants and shops. Whilst the beach is very narrow with sand or
shingle, most complexes in the resort offer swimming pools. Like the
rest of the island, guests are welcomed at almost all swimming pools - a
definite bonus if you want to try out a new pool bar or restaurant.
For those who love watersports, some hotels offer
facilities but for the best selection, a few minutes up the coast
towards the sweeping views of Vassilikos, beaches such as St. Nicholas,
Banana and Plaka are your best options. Nightlife in Argassi is
reasonably up-tempo, (quieter than Laganas, louder than Zakynthos Town!)
with a number of popular clubs and many lively music bars and Greek and
international restaurants.
Transfer time from airport is
approximately 15 minutes.
